well... I finished MAKING the list, not doing it all.
To be honest I don't know if Ill finish it in 1001 but I sure will try to.
I guess it's the thought that counts.
It only took me all of my summer vacation - but I finished it :)
The last idea was suggested by a friend who doesn't even know about this blog! Ill tell you the story:
Amir and I like doing long walks (and sometimes we even go running). Every time, we choose a different direction or destination. The thing is, we live about 10 minutes away from "HaMoshava HaGermanit" - the German area where there are so many great restaurants and caf'e. So every time we walked through that area we got really hungry and were angry we didn't bring any money.
So once, I put in my pocked 50 NIS (a little less than 15 USD) so when we got to the "Moshava" we could sit down and eat - but what can you order for two people in 50 NIS? (two HUNGRY people).
So we went back and forth and decided to sit down in Burger's Bar where 150g Hamburger costs something like 24 NIS. So we ordered two of them, and took 2 glasses of tap water - and there we had it! a dinner for two under 50 NIS!
Ever since we done it once or twice again - and it became a joke - we should find more places and then we'll write a book!
Well I don't know about a book, but a friend of mine said we can open a great blog!
well thats the story...
I finished the list!!! yay!!!!
Tomorrow I'm starting the 3rd year of med school! yaiks! 3rd grade is BIG!
In addition - next week I'll start working (I got back my teaching job) AND the rehersals to the musical are starting.
Big week ahead of me.
wish me luck:

45. Visit a new country - Serbia
Hey you guys.
As promissed I want to tell you about the trip to Serbia - a country I have never visited befor in my life, with JFE - Jerusalem Folklore Ensamble (Ive been dancing there for 3 years now).
Ofcourse- Amir and I returned from Prague (Cz republic) - which was also a totally new country for me, but that a totally different post!
So the ensamble went to Serbia to participate in a folklore festival in a city name Cremska Mitrovitsa (I hope I wrote it well) and in a trumpit festival in the town of Gucha. Both were so great!
The fesitval in Sremska was 5 day - we preformed every day (between 10-30 minuts show) - the croud was great, the group was awsome and we had great time.
Durring this festival we had a tour arround the area of the town (durring wich we drank ALOT of Rakia), we had a trip to Belgrad and had plenty of time to shop :)
The festival in Gucha wasnt like anything I ever saw! So many people, coming to such a small twon- litteraly in the midle of no-where, to party for 8 days. It was truely magnificent.
If you ever get to Serbia- here are some tips:
* A tour in Belgrad can take 1 day. There are several places I wouldnt miss -
-the tower
-the main streets (a great place to do a little shopping)
- The old Bohemian area (lots of resturants, cafe', and places to go out at night like clubs and pubs)
- the old chapel that looks like the Taj-Mahal
Of course there are many other places I haven't seen - but from what I saw - these are the musts. In addition some of my friend said they went to a really big shopping mall there - the prices aren't so high in Serbia so its a good place to do some serious shopping.
* Around belgrad - I really loved the area of Guch - Its almost 4 hourse from belgrad but the place is sooooo beutiful! I highly recomend to rent a car and travel arround - the hills are as green as can be, small rivers, and great people :)
* The local are super nice - and the can be helpfull if you get lost - so dont be afraid to ask them:)
